Looking at this dynamic Growmore system of planters, it's easy to appreciate how innovative and experimental it is, enabling people to be expressive and imaginative in assembling it. Husum & Lindholm Architects created this collection of only six individual parts that can be combined into limitless arrangements on any scale, forming sculptural gardens that can occupy vertical as well as horizontal space.
In addition to looking wonderfully lush and structurally interesting, there's a consideration behind the Growmore that makes it particularly worthy of note. The designers behind it are very much in tune with the times, with the DIY movement and with the concept of accessible design, so they have put this forth as open-source, so that anyone can produce his or her own standardized plywood planters and shelves with a CNC machine.
