Tool-making company Swanson released the GripLine, the first tape measure engineered to grip round edges and easily measure round objects. The GripLine was revealed at the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association Annual Convention and Trade Show.
The GripLine has a rotating tip that is designed to latch on to rounded edges up to 2 inches in diameter, such as rods, pipes and metal conduits. Its pivoting head has a slotted groove that allows the rotating tip to slide seamlessly towards an object, thereby extending the tape’s gripping range and strength.
The GripLine can attach to, hold and measure a wide range of materials, making it ideal for plumbing, electrical, building, carpentry and framing projects.
It is also a worthy addition to any DIY or Maker enthusiast’s tool armory.
