24 Kilates & Saucony Boast a New Grid SD Sneaker Iteration

The latest footwear release is the 'La Victoria' Grid SD Sneaker, presented through a partnership between streetwear store 24 Kilates and runwear brand Saucony. The silhouette presents the amalgamation of light and dark brown leather. The upper is also subtly accented by a blue colorway for the exterior and soft red for the interior.

The inspiration for the 'La Victoria' Grid SD Sneaker is quite interesting. In terms of contemporary footwear, brands always seem to find interesting spaces to draw inspiration from for their color palettes — a dominating example of this category is food. However, 24 Kilates and Saucony look in a radically different direction. The aesthetic of the brand new 'La Victoria' Grid SD is actually informed by Ferdinand Magellan who in 1519 circumnavigated the world in a 85-ton carrack.
