Greenpeace Italy has called upon 15 upscale designers to partake in its latest eco-friendly motion, one that kicked off on February 7th. Among the designers mentioned have been Valentino, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel.

The environmental company monitored the production processes of each brand, unveiling the impact that the couture houses have had upon water pollution, agricultural degradation and animal slaughter. The statistics gathered were mixed, with some labels opting to fully partake in commitments to zero deforestation and the minimal use of chemicals and others preferring to step outside of the green race altogether. In either case, it is interesting to take note of where the referenced brands fall on Greenpeace Italy's spectrum.
