Those wary about buying an EV might want to take along the GreenCharge app on their next test drive. The GreenCharge app was designed by Xatori, the company known for its PlugShare electric car charging network. PlugShare's new app syncs with the Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt to help you understand just how much money you're saving by going electric.

The GreenCharge app lets you track the charge of your EV's battery at a glance. It also tracks your mileage to let you see how much you would have spent driving a hybrid or a gas-powered car/SUV. The app is great for seeing the environmental impact made by gas vehicles as it displays how many pounds of CO2 you've kept out of the atmosphere in addition to how many trees you've saved. The GreenCharge app is available now for $9.99.
