Green Owl Vodka is a Toronto-based and female-founded alcohol brand. The company was recently launched by Carmen Sandor and is the only female-owned spirit sold at the LCBO. The alcohol is triple-distilled in small batches and is infused with green tea extract from Japan, making for a unique, clean green tea vodka. In the giving spirit of the holidays, the brand will be donating a portion of holiday sales to a women's shelter in Toronto.
The brand will appeal to female consumers as many women are more likely to buy a product from a company that is female-founded. This stems from a “desire to support other women,” especially in light of gendered pay gaps prominent in many businesses.
