Maserati Reveals Teaser Images of Its Next Granturismo Convertible

Maserati has unveiled its newest version of the GranTurismo via a teaser series of images. Granturismo's new design is similar to the outgoing model, which made its debut in October. However, both gas and electric powertrains will be offered on the new platform. In addition, it will feature a soft-top roof design borrowed from GranCabrio.
The vehicle will be offered in Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore styles, each of which will cater to different consumer lifestyles. For example, the Modena is aimed at luxury lifestyles, whereas the Trofeo is sporty. Meanwhile, the Folgore is the only all-electric option, which borrows its name from the Italian word for “lightning.”
The Modena and Trofeo models have the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine as the company's MC20 supercar; however, it is less powerful and does not have a dry-sump lubrication system. In the Modena and Trofeo, the Maserati-designed V-6 produces 490 and 550 horsepower, respectively.
