The Google Doodles that often used to commemorate holidays and special events are now being used to show support for the many different workers who are making a positive impact during the events surrounding COVID-19.
The first of the Google Doodles pays respect to public health workers, which includes field researchers, epidemiologists, lab scientists, and leaders from organizations likes the World Health Organization. In addition to promoting its support through Google Doodles, the tech company explains that it has partnered with WHO and national health organizations to make official information more easily accessible to users.
On YouTube, Google has also launched the #StayHome #WithMe campaign to encourage more content creation surrounding the topic, and created curated playlists of timely videos that promote social distancing.
