Bizarre Ghostly Photography

These Gonza Gamanso Photos are Frightening and Supernatural

This series of photos from Madrid-based photographer Gonza Gamanso presents an eerie perspective on beauty. Visually impactful, yet puzzling and almost frightening, the photos capture asymmetrical imagery that showcases and incites a variety of emotions. Many of the photos use hair in an unconventional way that furthers the disturbing nature of the photos. Gamanso shoots the majority of his photographs in what he calls a box room -- a small and empty closetlike space that he is free to decorate however he pleases to fit the theme of the photos.

Implications - The recession has affected all aspects of mainstream culture, but it's most prevalent in art, where savvy creatives interpret our collective angst into eerie and sometimes macabre works of art.
