These Rose Gold Apple Earpods will be Auctioned Off for the (RED) Charity

These unusually upscale solid gold Apple earpods were specifically designed to be auctioned off for Bono’s (RED) charity. Since Apple recently announced that it will be making metallic versions of the iPhone 5S, this rose gold Apple product will no doubt be a popular item up for auction.

For the design of these earbuds, Jonathan Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of design collaborated with Marc Newson, an Australian designer to create and curate the pieces for this auction. The unique items will be auctioned off in New York in November 23 later on this year “to raise money to tackle AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.”

If the winning bidder decides to actually use these luxurious earpods, let’s hope that they will not lose this pair of earbuds as easily as the average music-listener might.
