The release of the scooter is the result of a partnership between Gogoro and the TIC corporation, which will bring the Gogoro 2 Utility scooters into South Korea. The electric-powered scooter will initially be introduced to South Korean markets starting in Seoul. The scooters were designed for use in business-like package delivery or for logistics.

With the news of the South Korean launch, Gororo is now available in six different countries. The company originates from Taiwan and has expanded into Germany, France, Spain, as well as Japan. Gogoro has recently been prioritizing international markets as part of its growth strategy, and the company has been publicly stating its plans to do so.
