Luzzo’s La Pizza Napoletana is a Long Island City-based restaurant known for its pizzas and pasta. Now the restaurant is bringing the two together in the form of a Gnocchi Sandwich. The carb-rich dish starts with fresh pizza dough, which is then stuffed with buffalo mozzarella cheese and gnocchi pasta smothered in a sauce of either sorrentina, pesto, and quattro formaggi. The result is somewhat like a falafel sandwich, but one that's oozing with cheese. As one review put it, "it definitely requires stretchy pants."
