Art group Luzinterruptus has constructed a display of glowing toilet seats to represent its feelings towards Spain's Protection of Public Safety Bill. The Luzinterruptus' feel that the bill threatens everyone's right to democracy and the freedom of assembly, speech and information.
The glowing toilets are a literal representation of where this artistic group thinks the bill should go. The display is a beautiful collection of white toilet seats that are placed in a perfectly laid out pattern. The LED lights make the toilets look like they are glowing a bright blue color.
Inside each brightly illuminated toilet seat is a singe piece of paper taken form the Constitution. The literal and metaphoric approach of this public display of expression creates a beautiful art installation as well as representing a stance towards a true political issue.
