Global Eagle Entertainment and telecom giant Orange have been tapped to bring in-flight entertainment and connectivity to Air France on a trial basis. Starting mid-2015, the airline will be testing WiFi connections on board to provide their customers with an added benefit to flying with their company. Living in a digital age as we are, it's only natural that such services would find it necessary to appeal to connected individuals.
By driving these new innovations, Global Eagle Entertainment and Orange Business Services will support the digital transformation of Air France. According to Nasdaq, Global Eagle Entertainment "will combine its Ku-band satellite connectivity solution, its inflight wireless portal and IFE content with Orange Business Services' expertise in end-to-end integration services." Orange itself will be relying on GEE's expertise in this industry.
