Cameras may be getting more impressive specs, but let's face it, the Glider Camera humbles even the most snappy and precise. Designed by Xiaofei Wang, this futuristic photographic technology sets itself apart from the competition because of the radical way the user interacts with it.
Instead of operating within the hands of the photographer, the Glider Camera only operates once it's been catapulted from a slingshot. After hitting its critical peak, the rocket ship shaped vessel springs wings that allow it to soar through the air, snapping pictures and even video. Here's to hoping the Glider Camera will be built sturdy -- otherwise it's only got one good shot in it.
