Compact Cargo Robots

The Gita and Gitamini Help Pedestrians Transport Goods

Piaggio, the automaker behind Vespa, is introducing a brand-new cargo robot called Gitamini that's small in size and useful for carrying small goods from place to place. The Gitamini is a smaller version of the Gita cargo robot announced in 2019. While the Gita has a carrying capacity of almost 2,000 cubic inches that make it possible to transport up to 40 pounds, the all-new Gitamini has a smaller size that's better suited to sidewalks. The compact Gitamini comes in at just 990 cubic square inches and 28 pounds.

The cargo robot for pedestrians has the potential to help people carry goods like groceries home with less hassle. The new model comes with an external handle, plus advanced optics and machine vision.
