The Girlguiding uniform redesign introduces the youth organisation's first updated uniform in 30 years, developed in collaboration with London studio Hemingway Design. Created with input from 55,000 members, the collection includes 30 garments, 15 accessories, and neckerchiefs tailored to the organisation's four age groups: Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers. The refreshed range centers on colorful tops—including T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and hoodies—that can be paired with members' own clothing while still meeting uniform requirements.
Designed to encourage flexibility and individuality, the collection incorporates practical features requested by members, including hidden pockets in leggings and shorts and badge sashes that double as cross-body bags. Each age group's pieces retain distinctive color palettes that reflect Girlguiding's heritage, such as the Brownies' signature brown and yellow tones. The Girlguiding uniform redesign replaces the organisation's more formal 1990 uniform with a system that allows members greater freedom to choose how they dress while maintaining a shared visual identity.
