Nowadays it seems like every company wants to make the next Snapchat, but that's not the aim of the Giphy Says app. The GIF creator and search engine's new iOS app lets you turn yourself into a GIF. To use it simply point your phone's camera at your face, hit record and start speaking. Filters and text styles are customizable and there is even an option to translate your words into emojis.
The Giphy Says app doesn't feature a feed and there is no sharing function. Its purpose is a much simper one: to let people instantly create funny GIFs of themselves. This should help it stand out against the myriad of new social photo apps all gunning to be the next Snapchat. The Giphy Says app is available now for iPhone. There's no word on if an Android version is in the works.
