Photographer Rasmus Kaesmann is making a big splash thanks to his playful photography of the German Water Polo Team. The photo series was recently showcased at the Sony World Photography Awards in Cannes 2009.
Kaesmann combined a cutting-edge underwater technique with his creative style and art direction. The result is eye-catching and amusing.
Implications - Aside from these fantastic sports shots, Kaessmann's portfolio is full of portraits and advertisements. His style was developed through his early years of photography. From his travels in East Africa, he has developed a taste for creating images that are set in extreme environments that include mountains and rain forests. This recent set continues to bring extreme energy and excitement, but in more of a controlled environment.
