German Chocolate Cake Ice Cream is Coming to Baskin-Robbins

Baskin-Robbins has just unveiled its full fall flavor lineup and it includes an exciting new German Chocolate Cake ice cream, alongside other tasty autumnal flavors like Pumpkin Cheesecake and OREO Monkey Business.

If you're unfamiliar, German Chocolate Cake is a classic American cake recipe named after chocolate maker Samuel German. The cake consists of layers of rich chocolate cake topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. Baskin-Robbins' new German Chocolate Cake ice cream captures all these flavors by taking Swiss-style chocolate ice cream and adding in coconut flakes, walnut pieces, fudge brownies, and caramel swirls. As Baskin-Robbins puts it, "Our German Chocolate Cake is what we like to call a deconstructed flavor. The ice cream breaks down the elements of the traditional German Chocolate Cake dessert into the core flavor profiles and reimagines them into our creamy ice cream."
