The Genesis X Speedium Concept Explores the Automaker's Electric Future

The 'Genesis X Speedium' concept car is the newest showcase from the Seoul-based automotive manufacturer. Genesis has unveiled a variety of concept cars in the last few years, many of which were never intended to become production models. This is still true of the Speedium, as Genesis is using this concept car to explore the brand's potential designs as it shifts its focus toward electric vehicles (EVs).

The Genesis X Speedium concept is a two-door coupe with an athletic, smooth design. The car has a dual-line brake light with a V-shaped brake light in the center, and a lightbar that reaches from both sides to the front of the vehicle's grille. The Speedium name for the vehicle comes from the 'Inje Speedium' racetrack in Korea, and the paint job for the car is colored in a fitting 'Inje Green,' which is named after the mountains near the track in Korea.

In addition to unveiling this concept car, Genesis has reaffirmed its intentions to build a full EV lineup by 2030.
