ElevateBio is Partnering with Amazon Web Services

— March 10, 2025 — Tech
ElevateBio has announced a multi-year collaboration with Amazon Web Services to harness generative artificial intelligence for advancing CRISPR gene editing therapies. This partnership aims to accelerate the discovery, design, and optimization of CRISPR-based treatments for a wide range of genetic diseases, including complex monogenic and polygenic disorders.

By leveraging Amazon Web Services' cloud infrastructure, which includes SageMaker for machine learning and analytics, ElevateBio’s Life Edit division will analyze its extensive library of CRISPR systems and proprietary experimental data to identify and optimize novel gene editing therapies. The integration of AI with Life Edit’s gene editing platform, which supports base editing and reverse transcriptase editing, will enable the development of both ex vivo and in vivo therapies.

This collaboration builds on a proof-of-concept project that demonstrated enhanced protein discovery capabilities and reduced costs using Amazon Web Services' advanced computing resources.
