At MakeUp in LosAngeles 2020, GEKA unveiled a range of sustainably packaged, gender-neutral products called Break the Rules. The collection includes products for the brows, skin and lips that are free from controversial ingredients and are designed for use by all.
The unisex range includes products like 'Hi, I Am a Sustainable Lip Gloss' with a bottle made from 100% food-grade R-PET, produced from post-consumer PET-A bottle scraps. This product, in particular, is notable, as it was chosen as one of the Innovation Tree winners. Additionally, the collection favors the use of waste-reducing caps, applicators and brushes.
While there's an increasing number of brands that are producing gender-neutral skincare, body care, hair care and fragrance products, only a handful are applying the same focus to beauty products.
