Feudal Fantasy Art Mashups

Senji's Game of Thrones Art Incorporates Traditional Japanese Art

This series of Game of Thrones art mixes the characters and setting of the popular book and TV series with the art of traditional Japanese wood blocks.

One would think that changing the setting from medieval England to Feudal Japan wouldn't work, and yet it does -- extremely well. Created by Imgur user Senji, this Game of Thrones art is striking a chord with Game of Thrones fans all over the web. The most striking of Senji's image is the one that retells one of the final scenes from the first season, where the main character Ned Stark is beheaded. In Senji's Feudal Game of Thrones art piece, Ned is required to first commit seppuku.

Though it sounds like they'd be an odd pairing, Game of Thrones and Feudal Japan make a great team.
