While Samsung already has a number of smart devices under its belt, its new Galaxy Surfboard demonstrates that there really is no limit when it comes to creating connected products.

The new Samsung Galaxy Surfboard brings the convenience of a smartphone to the ocean by helping riders stay connected at all times. The smart surfboard is equipped with an LED display that shows riders their text messages, emails and social media notifications. In addition to personal information, the surfboard can also bring up practical data such as wave conditions and weather updates. All of this information is relayed to the display via the Samsung Galaxy 7, which is slotted into a waterproof drawer at the side of the board.

While it may seem like an unexpected move on the part of Samsung, the connected surfboard demonstrates the growing demand for connectivity in many different aspects of our lives.
