Gagosian Gallery Sells Uniquely Contemporary Art

The Gagosian Gallery is opening its first retail venue on Madison Ave. in New York. The space, named simply Gagosian, aims to be a retail outlet with an additional video showcase and reading lounge. Gagosian wants their clientele to “experience an eclectic and unusual mix of contemporary art and design in a democratic atmosphere.”

The shop promises to offer standout art and beautifully contemporary pieces that add style to your home. The most exciting offer, in my opinion, is the flying nun chair. Artist Richard Prince titled his creation the Nurse Hat Chair, but he’ll definitely do more business if he goes after diehard Sally Field fans.

Larry Gagosian opened his first gallery in 1979, and has been dazzling the world with modern, contemporary, and attention-worthy art ever since. There are nine Gagosian locations worldwide, from Beverly Hills to Hong Kong, and the most recent addition in Athens.
