Gaba Spirits Mimics the Feel-Good Effects of Alcohol

Gaba Labs, leverages the expertise of a team of scientists and professor of neuropsychopharmacology David Nutt, to create a new category of non-alcoholic "spirit" with Gaba Spirits that mimics the feel-good effects of alcohol. Specifically, scientists have found that by targeting the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) system in the brain, a calming effect is produced.

Nutt told The Spirits Business, “Gaba is the fundamental neurotransmitter in the brain, and it turns out that the most of the desired effects of alcohol by [the majority of] people are mediated through Gaba.”

In terms of taste, SENTIA Red is said to have heady floral aromatics and bittersweet spiced berries for a refined adult experience without the downsides of drinking. Ingredients in the product include agave syrup, blackberry concentrate and botanical extracts like ashwagandha, passion flower and rose.
