Ford Expands Its 5.0-Liter V8 Across The F-150 Line

Ford’s 2027 F-150 refresh brings revised styling, reorganized trims and wider availability of the 5.0-liter V8, which can now be paired with every trim. Ford also replaces the twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with a 3.0-liter version producing 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

A four-wheel-drive V8 is rated at 16 mpg city, 24 highway and 19 combined, while the 3.5-liter V6 achieves 17/23/19 mpg. BlueCruise will support hands-free driving while towing up to 10,000 pounds, though automatic lane changes are disabled. The $4,195 Carhartt package adds branded details, 20-inch wheels and a spray-in bed liner.

The refresh gives buyers performance and efficiency trade-offs, with a hybrid rated at 23 mpg combined available on most trims. Lower-cost Tremor and Raptor variants also remove features. This choice reflects demand for configurable trucks while helping Ford segment the F-150 lineup across utility, performance, lifestyle and value-focused customers.
