Danish design studio Faco developed the 'Pluk' space-saving spherical fruit basket that can easily store fruit and keep them fresh for longer. Pluk's frame is made out of two interweaving circles crafted out of sailboat-grade elastic. This design allows fruits and vegetables to be held safely in the basket but it also makes it easy for them to be plucked.
The Pluk fruit-basket is suspended from the ceiling, making it a good option for kitchens and dining rooms with limited space. It comes in plastic or handcrafted wooden versions, which are both dishwasher-safe. The plastic version is offered in a range of colors including pink, red, blue, fuchsia and yellow.
The makers of the Pluk fruit-basket are currently raising money on Kickstarter to fund the production of their product.
