The Fretlight Guitar Lights Up to Teach You How to Play
Sarah Moore — June 22, 2012 — Tech
While it doesn't guarantee that you'll be shredding solos like Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix, the Fretlight guitar will help you to learn at least a few notes and chords.
Designed with a super thin LED panel integrated into the fretboard, the techy six string lights up to show you what string you need to hit to play a certain note or what combination of strings you need to play to make a particular chord.
The fretlight system has been incorporated into 5 different designs that are modeled after the classic Fender body.
The system uses both video and computer software to trigger the lights and helps budding musicians to practice scales, chord progressions and eventually, to learn full songs.
