As much as I love intimate, candid photography that is both raw and gritty, there's something to be said about happy, quirky images like those found in Frederike Helwig's portfolio.
You may already be familiar with some of Frederike Helwig's work, considering that we have featured a photoshoot for Lula magazine as well as her portraits of Brandon Flowers. Yet this German-born photographer has done a lot more than that.
Taking photo assignments while still in college, Frederike Helwig was working for such publications as i-D magazine, Dazed & Confused and Vogue. These big names propelled her to work with clients like Nike and Adidas for their ad campaigns.
Since then, Frederike Helwig's glamorous yet honest images have continued to make a name for her in the fashion industry.
