American brand Bestcase designs the Foundation Bar Stool, which is a dynamic furniture design with an industrial aesthetic. It celebrates the raw material that is aluminum and is built with simple manufacturing methods. The design was created by the co-founder of Bestcase, Charles Constantine, and was first seen by the public in 2022 as a part of a collection made from aluminum sheet material.
The stool is sturdy with scaled-up sheets that go through a bending technique that helps add a form of structure. The stool is also supported further by mechanical connections with a raw satin waxed aluminum coating and powder-coated tone. The brand describes the stool as “an exercise in simplicity" to honor the properties of aluminum.
