The Footwear Design of the END. X ASICS Silhouette is Adorable

In January le coq sportif launched a pair of tonally appropriate hummus-inspired sneakers and the influence of food color palettes on footwear design does not stop here. ASICS and END. come together to collaborate on a silhouette that is informed by the tonal qualities of a Far Eastern plant-based delicacy: wasabi.

Set to drop in early March, the GEL-Lyte III boasts a pigskin nubnuck upper and GEL cushioning, in order to provide the highest degree of comfort during athletic activities. The footwear design has a fashion-forward twist, however. Surprisingly, the color scheme of wasabi translates itself exceptionally well within the context of sneaker silhouettes. The GEL-Lyte III boasts a pale green upper, subtle peach detailing and gunmetal grey ASICS stripes that "are a nod to the regions where the herb originates."
