Irish innovator Jamie Crummie has helped launch a new food waste app that is designed to make it convenient for businesses to go about selling surplus food that they would otherwise throw away, and giving customers the opportunity to access discounted food.
The 'Too Good To Go' app is being positioned as a B2C platform for excess food. Originally launched in Ireland, this particular food waste app has already generated thousands of meals from what would otherwise be food waste.
In addition to making it possible for customers to purchase cheaper food, the 'Too Good To Go' food waste app also makes it easier than ever for restaurants and hotels to secure their sustainability credentials by allowing them to redirect surplus food for consumers to use as they see fit.
