A team of designers comprised of Guo Jianhong, Pan Sui, and Deng Kairui created the Foldable Kettle which is easy to bring on the go. It is inspired by the function of an umbrella as it has a foldable handle, a frame to support the structure, and expandable silicone.
When the kettle is not in use, it folds into itself to create a cylindrical shape, similar to an umbrella. This can be tossed into a suitcase, a backpack, or a large bag. When users are ready for the kettle, the cylindrical shape expands into a kettle with a support frame in a triangle shape so that it is sturdy when water is poured into it. The kettle is then plugged into a power source through the magnetic power connector and has a top lid.
