teamLab's 'Flowers Bombing Home' Brings Art to Your TV

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced visual art collective teamLab to get very creative, and the brilliant 'Flowers Bombing Home' instillation does just that.

TeamLab frequently combines technology, art and interactivity, and this project is no exception. Because people can't go see art, art is bring brought into people's homes through their television screens. Participants are invited to draw a digital flower, uploading it to a page where it will be added to TeamLab's YouTube loop. Digital flowers from around the world will be blooming alongside each other.

When discussing the project,teamLab said "The flowers that people draw around the world will bloom until the end of the coronavirus. When the coronavirus ends, perhaps they will bloom and scatter all at once in various places all over the world. And, in the future, the flowers will continue to bloom forever as an artwork for people to remember this era,”
