Modern space travel promises to be a sleeker and more comfortable experience than the cumbersome suits of yesteryear, and the Floatride SB-01 boots show that style isn't a necessary sacrifice when it comes to reaching the heavens. The boots were designed by Reebok for astronauts aboard the Boeing Starliner that will carry them to the ISS next year, but they wouldn't look entirely out of place in a streetwear catalog.
The Floatride SB-01s make use of technology that Reebok has previously applied to its Floatride Run shoes. The foam in the midsole offers cushioning without adding the weight that a traditional midsole carries, which is a necessity for comfort on long and strenuous space travel. Reebok indeed promises that the Floatride SB-01s will feel very similar to its running shoes.
