Five-Ingredient Oatmilks

Planet Oat Simplifies Oatmilk with a Five-Ingredient Formula.

Five-ingredient oatmilks are simplifying plant-based beverages with shorter formulations designed to maintain familiar taste and texture. Planet Oat has introduced Humble Edition Oatmilk, made with oatmilk, banana puree, sea salt, and baking soda for a total of five ingredients. Inspired by homemade oatmilk recipes, the refrigerated beverage contains no gums, oils, or cane sugar and provides four grams of sugar per eight-ounce serving. Banana puree helps the brand create a creamy, lightly sweetened product without relying on additional additives.

The simplified formula allows Planet Oat to respond to consumers seeking recognizable ingredients while maintaining the convenience of packaged plant-based milk. Launching initially at select Walmart locations gives the brand significant retail exposure, while its accompanying Humble Brag Tour encourages sampling and trial. The product could also help Planet Oat differentiate within a competitive oatmilk category through ingredient transparency and simplified formulation.
