Clubbercise was started be three friends who grew frustrated with what they considered to be a poor music selection at the aerobics classes they attended. Their solution was to work out to 90s club anthems and gear their enterprise towards people who would prefer a night out at the club to going to the gym.
A Clubbercise class combines elements of the club with exercise. They do this in a dark room with disco lights so they can recreate the high energy, feel good atmosphere while they crank out dance, house, rave and EDM songs. The fitness party instructors teach choreographed dances that integrate glow sticks with aerobic moves.
