Priley Riley Uses Food to Recreate Famed Art Pieces to Fund Local Projects

The ArtFund organized by Priley Riley is a series of famous artwork pieces recreated using edible objects to help raise proceeds to fund galleries and museums in the UK. The project works on a crowdsourced bases inviting anyone to recreate a famous painting or work of art using food.

The various submissions to the ArtFund project range in scale and scope as each person offers a unique take to a different masterpiece. For example, one individual recreated Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam using expertly arranged slices of mandarin oranges and another recreated the works of Dali, Picasso, Warhol and Duchamps using cupcakes, icing and colored fondant. Each piece offers a refreshing take on a popular work of art in a way that hasn't been seen before.
