This New Family Home in Brazil Enjoys Panoramic Views of the Mountains

OTP Arquitetura has completed a family home in Brazil's Mantiqueira mountain range. The home was designed to house an extended family that would live together while also enjoying their own private spaces. The home is perched on a steep site surrounded by lush vegetation and spectacular mountainous views.

Working with the steep site, the architects designed an overhanging living room supported by steel beams and completed with floor-to-ceiling windows - offering the residents a panoramic view of the mountain range. There are two separate terraces that allow for privacy among the family residents. The kitchen and living spaces are shared communally while the bedrooms in the home are privately tucked away and share a large terrace.

The home is completed with midcentury furniture and rich wood finishes.
