A modular smartphone called the 'Fairphone 3' has recently been restocked by Dutch social company Fairphone in an effort to promote a circular method of purchasing tech. The new handset is intended to be ethical, openly produced, and simple to repair. These devices are being presented as a commendable alternative for environmentally conscious consumers who do not want to upgrade to the 2021 flagship model, 'Fairphone 4.'
By opting for the refurbished 'Fairphone 3,' prospective buyers have the opportunity to acquire a device that is approximately three years old while benefiting from the assurance that it will function adequately for an additional couple of years.
"These pre-owned phones have been refurbished in France and tested to ensure 100% functionality," said Fairphone in a press release. "[...] Based on the stock that we had available in our repair center of devices that have been returned, we refurbished the maximum we could to give them a new life and reduce e-waste as much as possible."
