This facial spa design evokes a culturally rich aesthetic, with subtle references to Greek architecture and "Californian freshness." The company is founded by Athena Hewett and alongside the relaxing and pampering facial and body services it offers, the business also doubles as a retail space.
Located in San Francisco, Monastery Studio definitely stands out with a combination of minimalism and ornate accents. From the custom-built furnishings to the captivating ceramics and dried floral sculptures, the facial spa design offers many points of visual appeal. Because of this, the backdrop of the shop is painted white. One of the centerpieces of the space is a "chartreuse-colored lacquer table with chunky circular legs and rounded edges designed by Shin Okuda of Los Angeles furniture studio Waka Waka."
