Jurmol Yao's Extreme Watersports Gear Adds A Few Flying Fantasies

Jurmol Yao takes extreme watersports gear quite seriously in his his FlyBoard design, which infuses an element of fantasy into the adrenaline-pumping sport.

Although it looks like a flying device from a superhero comic book, the concept design is actually a fusion between a wakeboard and a jet ski. The FlyBoard includes an integrated propulsion system at the bottom of the board that allows users to boost themselves farther into the air while surfing, making it seem as if they were flying whilst doing somersaults. Though this design for the extreme watersports gear seems fairly risky, designer Jurmol Yao stresses that its intuitive functions will have users "mov[ing] underwater like a dolphin and challenge the gravity like Superman" within 20 minutes, making it an easy and exciting ride for adrenaline seekers.
