Handlebar-Toting Hydrofoil Boards

The 'HydroBlade' Aims to Offer Balanced Rides Out On the Water

Pelagion, a Florida-based company that is a subsidiary of Automatic Manufacturing Systems, has unveiled the second prototype of the 'HydroBlade,' an innovatively engineered hydrofoil board that is equipped with a handlebar for better balance, among other eye-catching features.

What makes the 'HydroBlade' different from other hydrofoil boards on the market or in development is the fact that it features two electric motors situated on the rear. This setup allows the craft to attain a top speed of 70 km/h whilst promising up to four hours of runtime on a single charge of its dual lithium batteries.

The handlebars are another feature that set this hydrofoil board apart. While these can be used to create a stable ride and allow riders more control over their steering, they also have the added benefit of being able to hold a smartphone mount, but can also be folded away when not in use.
