LG Opens an EV Charger Manufacturing Facility in the US

LG is one of the most notable manufacturers when it comes to EV batteries and it is now opening its inaugural charger manufacturing facility in America. It is located in Texas' Fort Worth and measures 59,000 square feet with the ability to manufacture 10,000 at a yearly rate. The home-style chargers have started assembly and it has a plan to produce 175kW fast chargers within the first six months of the year.

LG also notes that it is planning to produce 350kW ultra-fast chargers that are specifically meant for "commercial travel and long-distance transportation." The choice of Texas is because it has"excellent logistics and transportation networks and is home to major operations for companies in industries ranging from automobile manufacturing to finance."
