'Esports Stadium Arlington' Will Provide Immersive Live Experiences

Live esports events are no longer something that only a niche audience will respond to, and the City of Arlington is set to be the first place to fully embrace that new and growing form of entertainment with 'Esports Stadium Arlington'. The event venue, which is being built in collaboration with a company called 'Esports Venues, LLC' and architecture firm Populous, will be the first to be built from the ground up with the ultimate goal of hosting live gaming competitions.

As it stands, live esports events have primarily been hosted in arenas and stadiums designed from other professional sports. While much of the sporting experience is similar between traditional sports and pro gaming, one of the key differences is that esports can last a full day, with events running eight or 10 hours at a time. Esports Stadium Arlington will thus be designed with comfort and a broad array of needs in mind, with ample lounge areas around the concourse to give spectators a break throughout the event.
