Entry-Level Commuter Scooters

Apollo Puts GPS Tracking and NFC Unlock in Its Dash Scooter

Apollo is bringing a more polished commuting experience to a lower price point with the 'Dash,' an e-scooter built to make short city trips easier to start and more trustworthy. The lightweight model pairs everyday portability with GPS anti-theft tracking and NFC (near-field communication) tap-to-unlock, so riders can skip keys and add another layer of security. Where local rules allow it, the Dash can also reach 22 mph.

Instead of the smaller wheels common at this end of the market, the scooter rides on 9.5-inch self-healing pneumatic tires that help smooth rough pavement and keep handling from feeling twitchy. That shifts the Dash away from bare-bones last-mile hardware and closer to something people can use for regular commuting without giving up ride comfort.

For shoppers, this means the entry price tier can now include the kind of convenience and composure that often pushes buyers to spend more. Competing commuter scooters have less room to lean on low cost alone when Apollo packages daily usability into the more accessible end of its range.
