RKP International Specializes in Energy Storage

RKP International has established a portfolio of large-scale energy storage installations, primarily within China, utilizing vanadium flow battery technology. These projects are distinguished by their substantial capacity, with the most prominent being a 175-megawatt facility capable of storing 700 megawatt-hours of electricity. Dubbed the Xinhua Ushi ESS Project in Ushi, China, it is considered to be "the world’s largest grid-forming energy storage station utilizing vanadium flow battery (VFB) technology."

Another significant urban installation is designed for a total capacity of 200 megawatts and 800 megawatt-hours, to be developed in sequential phases. RKP International also references a smaller, long-operating system integrated with a wind farm that has reportedly maintained its full storage capacity after more than a decade of use.

The benefits of large-scale energy storage installations such as these include enhancing the stability of regional power grids, managing peak electricity demand, facilitating the incorporation of renewable sources like wind and solar power, and providing backup power functions.
