Through the lovely Enchanted Forest Table Light, designer Elisa Honkanen strove to recreate the magical glowing effect of the treetops on midsummer nights in Finland. The diffuse luminescence of the moon is caught and reflected by the pale bark of birch trees, setting the woods subtly alight.
This inspiration was explored conceptually with the use of hollowed birch tree branches as the main bodies of the table lamps. The tiny trunk contains the electrical components, as well as a small spotlight that beams brightly upwards. To soften the rays of the Enchanted Forest Table Light, a spherical glass globe is placed upon each organic stump. This may have a gray tint to it or a blue one, subduing the intensity for that ambient effect.
